Fantastic 4 Silver Surfer Review

You use the Wii-mote and nunchuk and sometimes use motion controls for the special moves. Game also supports multiplayer.

Gameplay is pretty much a beat 'em up and each character is used to unlock a door or something, for instance The Thing (rock guy) is used to bash down walls, steel doors, and cave areas. The Fantasic 4 fight together and you control any character you want and can switch between characters using the d-pad, while the computer will fight with the other 3 characters. You have a limited supply of "Cosmic Energy", which is used to perform special-stronger attacks. Each character will Level up during the game and gain more health, more cosmic energy, and more special moves. The characters are much more fun to play later in the game. There are 3 modes, Easy, Normal, & Hard. There are also some unlockables that you can get if you find the Fantastic 4 logos, which also give other bonuses like experience to your characters. The unlockables aren't really much though, just different costumes, credits, comic covers, etc.

I was able beat the game fairly quickly. Most of it is pretty simple. There are some breakable walls that I overlooked when I first started, but once it fooled me, I never got stuck again. There is a puzzle part, at least I thought, where you use the Human Torch to set flames to funeral pyres in a certain order to match the pattern on the ground. It had me stumped because I was trying to recreate the actual picture on one of the tiles. It is very easy, but wasn't obvious to me at first. [SPOILER] You have 8 pyres, 4 tiles with with pictures on them on the ground. The gaps between the tiles are not supposed to be on fire, and the pictured ones are. If they had a frame around all the tiles it would have been more obvious.
[END OF SPOILER]

Overall I thought this was a fun, good game, and got better as it progressed, since the characters got stronger.
